Forever Media continues its sell-off as Bob Stevens’ Broadcast Communications purchases Country “Froggy 94.9” WOGG Oliver and Classic Hits “Pickle 99.3” WPKL Uniontown PA for $995,000.
The two stations, which serve the areas south of Pittsburgh, will join Stevens’ other commercial holdings in the market including Classic Rock 103.1 WKVE Mount Pleasant, AC “2WLS” 103.9 WLSW Scottdale, Brokered Variety 620 WKHB Irwin, Oldies 770 WKFB Jeannette, Brokered 810 WEDO McKeesport, and 1570 WXVE Latrobe. He also has a CP to move Country 92.3 WKTQ Oakland MD into the market with a change in COL to Chalkhill PA. In order to stay under the ownership limit of eight stations, WXVE will be converted to non-commercial status and transferred to Stevens’ Broadcast Educational Communications.
The sales complete the divestiture of Forever’s holdings in and around Pittsburgh. Following all pending sales the company retains its three stations in York PA and four in Cumberland MD.
