Terry Barber Enterprises is continuing to grow a cluster in Montgomery, AL. Barber, the former GM of Blueberry Broadcasting’s cluster in the market, purchased Gospel 800 WMGY in March and is now adding another AM and translator. Barber is paying $210,000 for Classic Hits 1250 WRBZ Wetumpka from J&W LLC. and $100,000 for 96.5 W243CS Montgomery from Patrick Sullivan. TBE began operating both stations and Sullivan’s 95.5 W238CE Montgomery via LMA on May 1.
Mount Carmel Baptist Church is acquiring Classic Hits “94.5 The Coast” 1490 WVGB/94.5 W233AW Beaufort/Hilton Head, SC from Partners Broadcast Group for $300,000.
Norman Broadcasting Company NMB sells Oldies 900 WNMB North Myrtle Beach, SC to Beatty Broadcasting Company for $25,000 and an option to acquire the station’s tower site for $150,000.
After selling 89.9 KTLW Lancaster, CA and its three Los Angeles area translators to Educational Media Foundation, Life On The Way Communications sells 88.9 WGEN-FM Monee, IL to Wild World Media for $55,000.
Crocodile Broadcasting Corporation purchases Regional Mexican “La Caliente 830” WFNO Norco/New Orleans, LA for $825,000. The buyer owns Spanish Tropical “Tropical 1540/105.7” KGLA Gretna/K289AM Timberlane and the Telemundo affiliate in the New Orleans market.
Rodney Tow, the Trustee for Able Media sells the CP for 107.3 in Aguila, AZ to Matinee Media following a Bankruptcy Court Order. Matinee Media will pay $332,500 for the CP which will serve Wickenburg and the northwestern suburbs of Phoenix. The buyer outbid JMRW LLC and Entravision for the station.
Richard Foreman, the Receiver for Pembrook Pines Media, sells “NBC Sports Radio 1380” WABH and AC “V98.3” WVIN-FM Bath, NY to Gordon Ichikawa’s Tower Broadcasting for $375,000. Ichikawa previously acquired four stations and four translators from Foreman in and around Elmira, NY last summer. Tower began operating the Bath stations via Time Brokerage Agreement in April.
AASAA Media is converting its LMA of Alpha & Omega Broadcasting’s 1550 KMRI West Valley City, UT into a purchase for $275,000. Nicolas Vicente, the primary owner of the buyer, owns 100% of 1660 KXOL Brigham City and is a 24.5% owner of Regional Mexican “104.7 Mi Preferida” KNIV Lymon, WY. All three stations serve the Salt Lake City market.
3B Properties LLC acquires the CP for 98.9 WVLV Byrdstown, TN from Valleydale Broadcasting for $12,500.
Easy Media purchases 101.1 W266AL Pensacola, FL from Edgewater Broadcasting for $38,000. W266AL will continue to rebroadcast Easy’s Sports “ESPN Pensacola” 1450 WBSR Pensacola.
Randy Hudson sells the CPs for 93.1 K226BU Aspen, 93.1 K226BV Old Snowmass, 93.1 K226CD Glenwood Springs, and 100.1 K261EG Aspen to BS&T Wireless for $15,000. The three 93.1 translators will rebroadcast BS&T’s CHR “Hot 100.5” KGHT El Jebel and 100.1 will rebroadcast Oldies “Thunder 93.5” KTND Aspen.
Fred & Evelyn Morton acquire 105.5 K288FQ Lawton, OK from James Turvaville’s Turbo Technical Services for $33,000. The buyer sold the translator to the seller in 2005 for $1,000.
CRG LLC sells 95.1 W236AG Fond du Lac, WI to Radio Plus for $5,000. W236AG will rebroadcast Radio Plus’ 97.7 WFDL-FM Lomira.
