Bustos Media has launched its second Spanish brand in Milwaukee with the debut of Spanish AC “La 93.7” W229CQ Milwaukee/104.7 WDDW-HD2.
Positioned as “Puro Exitos”, the new brand flanks sister Regional Mexican “La Gran D 104.7” WDDW Sturtevant. The 250 watt/176m translator covers downtown Milwaukee and its adjacent southern suburbs.
After reacquiring WDDW 104.7 FM on April 21, 2015, exactly 15 months later to the day, Bustos Media is putting on the air its second FM station in the market. “LA 93.7 FM” hits the Milwaukee airwaves with a unique branding style in Spanish radio. The station’s name and brand is its frequency on the dial. LA 93.7 FM – Puros Exitos “All Hits All The Time” is a blend of Spanish Regional and Adult Contemporary format with hits from the 80s, 90s, and Today.
In a local interview John S. Bustos, Managing Partner, said, “Eleven years ago this month Bustos Media launched WDDW “La Gran D 104.7 FM” the first Spanish Language FM station in the history of Milwaukee. The ribbon cutting ceremony then was at the offices of the Milwaukee Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The ribbon cutting ceremony today for the official launch of LA 93.7 FM will be no less impressive since it will be attended by Hispanic community leaders and a star-studded line up of well-wishers. It will be done at 5:00PM at the Bustos Media Broadcast Center, 1138 S. 108 St., West Allis, WI. The festivities will culminate with a Giant Community party from 8:00PM to 1:00AM at the well-known Rave/Eagles Club in downtown Milwaukee.
