Update 2/22: With the rebranding to Bob, 106.9 has taken new WUBB calls and brings in a new airstaff. Kenny Jay, formerly of WWQM Madison, WI is Program Director and midday host. “The Pretty Early Show” in mornings will be hosted by Bob Waters of WYCR York, PA and Sierra Decker from WSOC Charlotte. Mike Lindsay will be heard in afternoons.

Original Report 2/21: Triad Broadcasting’s WGZR Bluffton, SC has relaunched as “New Country – Bob 106.9“. The station serves the Hilton Head, SC and Savannah, GA markets.
This is the fourth name for the station since the Country format moved to 106.9 in 2003. It has previously been branded as “Gator 106.9“, “Lucky Dog Country“, and most recently as just “Country 106.9“. Triad also operates Classic Hits “Big 98.3” WGCO, Classic Rock “103.1 The Drive” WGZO, “Rock 106.1” WFXH-FM, AC “107.9 The Coast” WLOW, and Sports “ESPN 1130” WFXH in the region.
