Original Report 3/2: Sunburst Media has begun shuffling the formats at its Houma, LA cluster as one of its stations prepares for its move into the New Orleans market.
Modern Rock “K-Rock 106.3” KXOR Thibodaux has shifted to Classic Rock “Rock Hits Radio LA106.3“. The format has much overlap with sister Variety Hits “96.7 Dan-FM” KMYO.
That should be short-lived as 96.7 is likely to assume the Country format of “C107.5” KCIL when that frequency is shifted to Jean Lafitte, LA as a New Orleans targeted station. 967KCIL.com was registered in September. 107.5’s construction permit had expired in May 2010, however gained an extension due to legal opposition halting the construction. At one point Live1075NewOrleans.com was registered for the station, but it has since expired.
