At 10:00am this morning, Entercom Country “95.7 The Wolf” KBWF San Francisco dropped its format and is now stunting with sports highlights and stadium anthems promoting its soon to be identity of “SportsRadio 95.7“.
KBWF recently became the flagship station for Oakland Athletics baseball and will gain San Jose Sharks hockey from sister Classic Rock “KFOX” 98.5 KUFX/102.1 KUZX.
The new format will place the station in competition with Cumulus’ tandem of 680 KNBR and 1050 KTCT. 1050 currently clears most of the primary programming from ESPN Radio and Fox Sports Radio such as Mike & Mike, Colin Cowherd, Jim Rome, Dan Patrick, and Tony Bruno. Entercom does run two very local Sports outlets in the WEEI Boston network and KCSP Kansas City.
