University of Northwestern-St. Paul is selling a pair of translators to Beasley Media Group for $200,000. $150,000 is allocated towards 106.5 W293CK Clearwater, FL which will rebroadcast Business “Moneytalk 1010” WHFS Seffner/Tampa. $50,000 goes towards 104.3 W282BY Fort Myers, which will be used to rebroadcast “ESPN Deportes 770” WJBX North Fort Myers.
iHeartMedia purchases 96.3 W242BF Springfield, FL from Way Media for $75,000. W242BF will be used to rebroadcast “Fox Sports 590” WDIZ Panama City.
Zimmer Radio purchases the CP for 106.5 K293BW Columbia, MO from Radio Assist Ministry for $50,000. Zimmer lists 106.9 KTXY Jefferson City as the originating station.
First Ventures Capital Partners sells 94.1 K231BM Poplar Bluff, MO to Eagle Bluff Enterprises for $15,000. Eagle Bluff will file an application to a new tower where it will rebroadcast their 97.5 KOEA Doniphan.
Covenant Communications is donating 93.9 W230BY Rome, GA to WKNG LLC. Steven Gradick owns 55% of Covenant and 100% of WKNG LLC.
A similar ownership change is taking place in New Mexico where husband and wife owners Don Davis and Martha Whitman’s Vanguard Media are transferring 101.9 K270CE Truth Or Consequnce and 103.7 K279BW Las Vegas, NM exclusively to Davis.
Southern New Mexico Radio Foundation acquires 97.5 K248CB Alamogordo, NM from William R. Sims for $7500. K248CB will continue to rebroadcast the Foundation’s Christian 88.9 KHII Cloudcroft.
Finley Willis donates the CP for 102.9 W275BT Lawrenceburg, KY to Western Kentucky University.
Station Sales
Christian 1410 KKLO Leavenworth, KS/Kansas City is sold by New Life Evangelistic Center to Vision Communications for $425,000. The buyer owns Conservative Talk 1340 KADI and Christian CHR “99 HitFM” KADI-FM in Springfield, MO.
A bankruptcy court orders the transfer of Sports “93.3 The Jock” KKSP Bryant/Little Rock from Capital City Broadcasting to a receivership operated by John Signaigo.
Lynn Baker and Steve McGowan’s Jackson Radio Group acquires Oldies 980 WTOT Marianna/101.7 WTOT-FM Graceville, FL and Country 100.9 WJAQ Marianna from BRO Management for $10. The buyers have been operating the stations via LMA since September 2013.
Kona Coast Radio purchases Oldies 93.7 KIIQ Limon, CO from Percheron Growth, LLC for $50,000.
J.W. Pirtle, 50% owner of Urban AC 1580 WBCP Urbana/Champaign, IL is acquiring the other 50% from the estate of Lonnie Clark for $1.
AVC Communications is purchasing Classic Rock 92.1 WBIK Pleasant City, OH from David Wilson for $246,650. AVC has managed sales for WBIK via a Sales & Marketing Agreement since 2002 and a Joint Sales Agreement since September 2014.
