Update 12/9: After stunting for an hour with a block of goodbye songs and songs with Star in the title, KBZC has made the flip to Hot AC as “Star 106.5“. Branded as “Today’s Music Variety”, the station is promoting the station as featuring music mainly from the 21st century.

Original Report 12/7: Following last week’s flip of Hot AC “My 92.5” KGBY Sacramento to News/Talk KFBK-FM last week, Entercom is preparing to take on the format.
“Buzz 106.5” KBZC, which just revamped from 90s Hits to Rhythmic AC over Labor Day Weekend, will soon rebrand the station as “Star 106.5” with a turn towards Hot AC.
Registrations were made on Monday for the following domains: 1065Star.com, Star1065.com, and StarSacramento.com along with their .net variants. SacStar.net was also purchased by Entercom.
