After taking a few hours after launch to even get a new logo on its social media profile, the page is now highlighting a HotInDFW.com domain. As of this writing the domain name is still available for registration.
Original Report 5/9: Less than a year after launching the “H2O Radio” brand in Dallas with the potential to expand elsewhere, Univision appears ready to transition 107.9 KESS-FM Lewisville/Dallas to a more traditional radio brand.
MyHot1079.com was registered on Wednesday by Marco Arias, Program Director of Univision’s Rhythmic CHR “98.5 The Beat” KBBT and Spanish Urban “La Kalle 95.1” KGSX San Antonio. Social Media profiles for the station describe it as “Your New Home for Hot Hits“.
“Radio H2O” debuted last June with a CHR mix of English and Spanish artists. The station has since shifted a more predominantly English mix coinciding with a gradual rise in the ratings. Over the past three months it has trended 0.9-1.0-1.3. The station rimshots the Dallas/Fort Worth market from the north.
