Terry Boers Announces Retirement From WSCR Afternoons

Terry Boers Dan Bernstein 670 The Score WSCR ChicagoCBS Sports “670 The Score” WSCR Chicago afternoon co-host Terry Boers will retire on Friday, January 5, 2017.

Originally a sportswriter for the Chicago Sun-Times, Boers has been with WSCR since its launch in 1992 through three frequencies. His retirement will come at the end of the week of the station’s 25th anniversary.

Boers made his announcement in a blog post on the station’s website. The decision to retire comes after Boers has been off for most of the past six months due to two surgeries for an undisclosed ailment.

Robert Feder reports that a search will begin for a new co-host for incumbent Dan Bernstein. Boers and Bernstein have been paired together since 1999, first in late mornings and then moving to the current 1-6pm timeslot in 2009.
