After a brief simulcast of Country “97.9 The Moose” WZXP Au Sable, A&J Radio has launched 50s/60s Oldies “Mid-Century Radio” on 1070 WPLB (formerly WTWK) and 103.7 W242BS Plattsburgh NY.
The format moves from Northeast Broadcasting’s “Channel 98” 1390 WCAT/98.3 W252CJ Burlington and 1420 WRSA St. Albans VT which are now Silent. A&J Radio, headed by Aaron & Jessica Ishmael, purchased WTWK and W242BS from Northeast Broadcasting in July 2016 for $140,000. The company also leases 97.9 WZXP from Randy Michaels’ Radioactive LLC.
