Cumulus CHR “Q100” 99.7 WWWQ Atlanta has promoted night host Adam Bomb to afternoons.
Bomb supplants Johnny O, who recently transferred to sister CHR “95 SX” WSSX Charleston SC as Program Director. He originally joined WWWQ in 2006, and outside of a brief run in mornings at “I93” KLIF-FM Dallas had continued to host nights at the station since. He has also worked at “B94” WBZZ Pittsburgh and “Y100” WHYI Miami during his career.
Bomb will continue to host the syndicated “Adam Bomb Show” in nights via Westwood One.
Cumulus Media announces that it has launched a new weekday afternoon radio show, “Afternoons With Adam Bomb” on Q100/WWWQ-FM in Atlanta featuring powerhouse radio personality, Adam Bomb. The show broadcasts live from Q100 Atlanta weekdays from 3PM-7PM. Adam Bomb has hosted nights on Q100 since 2006 and moved to the new afternoon slot on Monday, January 16, 2017. He will continue to host his nationally syndicated radio program, “The Adam Bomb Show” through Westwood One, now heard in 30 U.S. markets.
Louie Diaz, Operations Manager and Program Director of Q100, said: “Adam’s local involvement with Atlanta schools and his popularity with Q100 listeners at night made him the perfect choice to drive Atlanta home every afternoon on Q100. We have a lot of great stuff in mind for afternoons on Q100, so get ready to be entertained!”
Adam Bomb said: “I gotta thank Mike McVay, Sean Shannon and Louie Diaz for the faith and opportunity to stay at Q100, a place I’m so passionate about in a city I love! This is one of the best jobs in radio and I’m proud to bring everything we did at night to afternoons in Atlanta.”
Adam’s move to the afternoon time slot leaves nights open on Q100. Interested on-air personalities may send their packages to Louie Diaz at: louie.diaz@cumulus.com.
