Midwest Family Broadcasting has flipped “Oldies 1150” WEAQ Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire WI to Rhythmic CHR “95.9 Jamz” with the launch of 95.9 W240DC Chippewa Falls.
Running jockless, the station is promoting itself as “non-stop music without all the talk” with core artists including Bruno Mars, Drake, The Weeknd, Rihanna, The Chainsmokers, and Ariana Grande.
The new Jamz format will flank sister Hot AC “I94” 94.1 WIAL against iHeartMedia CHR “Z100” 100.7 WBIZ-FM. It will also intend to protect Midwest Family Country 104.5 WAXX‘s overall market lead against second ranked WBIZ-FM.
