Pacific Empire Communications flipped Oldies “Kool 94.1” KCLK-FM Clarkston WA/Lewiston ID to Country “Hot Country 94.1” this morning.
KCLK will feature a local morning show hosted by Big E and Don who move over from sister Hot AC “101.5 Cat-FM” KATW. The flip makes the station the fifth Country formatted station in the market joining Nelly Broadcasting’s “Big Country 97.7” KZBG, Pullman Radio’s “New Country 104.3” KHTR, and Inland Northwest Broadcasting’s combo of “99.5 Bull Country” KZZL and “106.9 The Outlaw” KMOK.
Pacific Empire Radio’s 94.1 has transformed into HOT COUNTRY 94.1, bringing the Lewis Clark Valley lively country music.
When setting your radio to 94.1 today, you will now hear HOT COUNTRY music. HOT COUNTRY 94.1 will play upbeat country music.
During the process of naming the station, Pacific Empire Radio wanted it to really reflect the music, so the Lewis Clark Valley’s newest country station will be called HOT COUNTRY 94.1.
“We have been considering this idea for a long time. We saw a niche here in our market, and wanted to go after it. Just listen to it, and you will hear what Hot Country is all about,” said Pacific Empire Radio General Manager, Ben Bonfield.
Hot Country 94.1 will feature a live and local morning show with Big E and Don, weekdays from 6am-10am. The combination of their witty humor, radio experience and personalities will give listeners an entertaining show to wake up to.
To kick off the new station, listeners are invited to send their office contact info to firstname.lastname@example.org for a chance to win lunch for their entire office (up to 16 people). A number of other prizes will also be given away on their air including free coffee cards, free car washes, concert tickets, Aquatic Center Passes, and more.
Pacific Empire Radio also owns Classic Rock 102.9, 101.5 Cat-FM, Fox Sports 1430AM The Sports Fan and DailyFly.com.
