Apple Community Broadcasting has launched Soft AC “101.5 The Breeze” W268AN Plainview via 93.5 WVIP-HD4 New Rochelle NY.
The new format serves the area along the Nassau and Suffolk County lines on Long Island including Bethpage, Hicksville, Melville, and Syosset. The 13w/119m translator had most recently been airing Spanish Christian “Radio Cantico Nuevo” programming.
The station is promoting itself as playing “all your favorite songs from 1960’s – Today Artist like: Elton John, Doobie Brothers, Bruce Springsteen, Journey, Carly Simon, Lionel Richie, Billy Joel, Air Supply, and Chicago”.

Seems like the latest in what I think will become a trend of “Classic Adult Contemporary” stations.
There is no such format and definitely no such trend.

Actually there is…. WEXP/WCVT in Vermont have a Full Service/Classic AC format. A trend… no so much.
There most certainly is and has been a format that could be called Classic AC or Gold based AC, etc.
