iHeartMedia has flipped Business/Talk 1230 WBZT West Palm Beach to Sports as “1230 The Zone“.
With the format change WBZT will simulcast Jeff ‘Defo’ DeForrest’s morning show from sister 940 WINZ Miami from 6-10am. The remainder of the daily programming will come from the CBS Sports Radio network including Damon ‘DA’ Amendolara, Jim Rome, Tiki & Tierney, Reiter Than You, and Ferrall On The Bench. WBZT is the West Palm Beach affiliate for MLB’s Miami Marlins baseball and will carry Westwood One’s NFL coverage.
WBZT becomes the third Sports station in the West Palm Beach market joining Good Karma Broadcasting’s “ESPN 106.3” WUUB Jupiter and Alpha Media’s recently relaunched “640 The Hurricane” WMEN Royal Palm Beach.
WBZT had been carrying Bloomberg business programming and the Dave Ramsey Show prior to the flip to Sports.
