Alpha Media News/Talk 710 KGNC Amarillo TX has expanded to FM with the sign-on of 97.5 K248DE.
With the addition of the FM signal, the station is also picking up the ESPN Radio affiliation previously held by My Home Team Media’s “ESPN 1010” KTNZ. KGNC will retain its current News/Talk programming from 5am to 5pm weekdays and carry Sports content from 5pm to 5am and weekends. In addition to ESPN Radio, KGNC is the Amarillo affiliate for Texas Rangers baseball and Dallas Cowboys football.
The KGNC lineup now consists of:
- 5-6am – The Agri-Business Hour with James Hunt
- 6-9am – NewsDay Amarillo with Tim Butler, Kelli D’Angelo and Mike Hill
- 9-11am – Brian Kilmeade Show
- 11am-2pm – Rush Limbaugh
- 2-5pm – Dave Ramsey
- 5pm-5am – ESPN Radio
Alpha Media, Amarillo announced that KGNC-AM is now serving the Amarillo metro on 97.5FM. KGNC will continue to serve listeners in the Texas Panhandle with 10,000 watts on 710AM.
The station is now known as “Amarillo’s News, Talk, Sports – 710AM and 97.5FM KGNC.” KGNC will continue to carry popular programming such as: The Agri-Business Hour with James Hunt from 5am-6am, NewsDay Amarillo with Tim Butler, Kelli D’Angelo and Mike Hill from 6am-9am, The Brian Kilmeade Show from 9am-11am, Rush Limbaugh from 11am-2pm and Dave Ramsey from 2pm-5pm.
KGNC has made a commitment to serve Amarillo sports fans by becoming Amarillo’s home for Dallas Cowboys football beginning this season alongside their longstanding coverage of Texas Rangers baseball games. KGNC will also carry ESPN Radio programming starting at 5pm weekdays and over the weekends.
