Connoisseur Media Rock “Rocket 101” WRKT North East/Erie PA has set the date for its move to 104.9.
WRKT will become “Rocket 105” on Friday, October 20. The station first applied to move to 104.9 in 2011. After the first CP expired unbuilt the station reapplied for its move to the tower of sister CHR “Star 104” 103.7 WRTS with 4.5kW/160m. The move of WRKT to 104.9 was to make way for a new station on 100.9 licensed to Westfield NY, but the application by Rick Rambaldo’s ERIE Radio Company was dismissed in May after failing to make its down payment from FCC Auction 98 in time.
