93.5 Toronto Moves Back To Currents

93.5 The Move CFXJ TorontoNewcap Radio Classic Hip-Hop “93.5 The Move” CFXJ-FM Toronto has flipped to Rhythmic CHR while retaining its current branding and airstaff.

Now positioned as “Toronto’s Hits. Toronto’s Throwbacks.”, CFXJ’s move comes after registering a 1.4 share in the Numeris May 29-August 27 PPM Ratings period. The station is still featuring 2-3 gold tracks per hour. The station had been Urban “Flow 93.5” until its flip to Classic Hip-Hop leaning 90s Hits in February 2016.

The 11:00am hour of the new “93.5 The Move” featured:

  1. The previous format was more Rhythmic AC than Classic Hip-Hop. A Classic Hip-Hop station wouldn’t play Madonna, Britney Spears, or ’90s Eurodance.
