Station Sales Week Of 12/1: An Italian Dance Revolution In South Florida
ANCO Media Group is petitioning the FCC to allow its group of Italian citizens to purchase Zoo Communications and its Dance “Revolution 93.5” network of 93.5 WBGF Belle Glade, 93.5 WZFL Islamorada, 93.5 W228BV Fort Lauderdale, and 93.5 W228BY Miami FL from Zoo Communications for $1 million. Claudio Dompe and Marco Mazzoli would each own a 40% stake of the company, while Dompe’s daughter Claudia Dompe and Mazzoli’s wife Stefania Pittaluga would each hold 10% stakes. Mazzoli serves as General Manager and host on the station and is known as “The Howard Stern of Italy” where he hosts “The Zoo” on the Radio 105 network. Claudio Dompe currently holds a 20% stake in Zoo Communications.
After a previous $55,000 sale to Pentecostal Church of God earlier this year failed to close, Cumulus Media sells 1230 KRRF Murray/Salt Lake City UT to Vic Michael’s Kona Coast Radio for $175,000. The deal also includes a lease of property owned by Cumulus for Michael to construct a new tower for KRRF and 1320 KNIT Salt Lake City (which Michael purchased from Cumulus for $100,000 in May) to replace the former KRRF tower which was destroyed in a brush fire in 2015.
A week after selling Silent 1240 WNBZ Saranac Lake NY to North Country Radio for $6,000, Ted Morgan’s Saranac Lake Radio sells AC “Y106.3” WNBZ-FM Saranac/Plattsburgh NY to Amanda Dagley and William Dickerson’s NBZ LLC for $300,000 including a $75,000 non-compete for Morgan and his wife Ann Morgan. Amanda Dagley currently serves as Station Manager at Full Service Country “Hometown Radio” 1340 WIRY Plattsburgh/100.7 WIRY-FM Plattsburgh West. An LMA will begin for the station today.
Thomas Copenhaver’s TECO Broadcasting is reacquiring Classic Hits 102.5 WOLD-FM and Country “103.5 The Bull” WZVA Marion VA from CDM Broadcasting for cancellation of the $651,039 promissory note owed by CDM to TECO. CDM Broadcasting purchased the two stations from Copenhaver in August 2016 for the same $651,039 amount and then flipped WOLD-FM from Classic Rock to Classic Hits and WZVA from CHR to Country.
Tomlinson-Leis Communications sells the Construction Permits for 94.5 Oakwood and 95.1 Jacksonville TX to North Texas Radio Group for $56,500.
WPW Broadcasting sells Country 104.5 WSLD Whitewater WI to Nora Karbash’s CMC Media for $1.25 million. Karbash currently serves as General Manager of WSLD.
Bible Believers Network is donating Christian “New Life Radio” 90.7 WGSN Newport, 105.1 WCLC-FM Jamestown, and 1260 WCLC Jamestown to New Life Studios Inc.
Illinois Association of Seventh-Day Adventists sells 99.1 W256CH Pekin and 104.3 W282BS Dunlap IL, both of which cover portions of Peoria to LSE Broadcasting for $100. Both translators will continue to rebroadcast Canton Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s “Lifetalk Radio” 103.3 WLSE Canton IL.
Ted Austin Jr. acquires 92.3 K222CJ Big Sky MT from Chris Nelson for $6,685. Austin will rebroadcast Rich Broadcasting’s 102.9 KOUW Island Park ID on the translator.
