Cumulus Media has announced that Vice President of Urban Formats Ken Johnson will exit his position as Operations Manager of Urban AC “Hot 107.7” WUHT Birmingham AL to return to his previous position as Program Director of Urban AC “Radio 103.9” WNBM Bronxville/New York.
Johnson previously left Birmingham to launch WNBM in July 2014. He then returned to WUHT in April 2015 and added the title of VP/Urban for the company in January 2016. He will now be based in New York.
Cumulus Media announces that Urban programming executive Ken Johnson will return to its Urban AC station WNBM-FM/Radio 103.9 in New York City as Program Director. Johnson successfully launched WNBM in July 2014, and left the station in April 2015 to become Operations Manager for Cumulus Media’s Urban AC-formatted WUHT-FM/Hot 107.7 in Birmingham, AL. In addition to Johnson’s new role as WNBM-FM Program Director, he continues in his corporate role as Vice President, Urban Formats, for Cumulus Media. Johnson, who joined Cumulus in 1997, will be based in New York.
