Urban One’s Reach Media will cease production of the Ed Lover Show at the end of 2017.
Airing predominantly on Classic Hip-Hop stations, the final live edition of the program will air on Friday, December 22 with best-of shows made available to affiliates next week. Hosted by former WQHT New York and Yo! MTV Raps host Ed Lover and WPHI Philadelphia morning host Monie Love, the program debuted in January 2015.
Among the stations that had been carrying the show were Urban One’s “Boom 102.9” W275BK Atlanta, “Boom 102.9” W275BD Indianapolis, JVC Media’s “Party 105.3” WPTY Long Island, and Beasley Media’s “Hot 95.5/93.1” WCHZ/W238AU Augusta GA.
