Since ending its Christmas Music run, some changes have taken place at Entercom Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC Detroit.
Now branding as “The New 104.3 WOMC” the station has noticeably removed all 1990s music from its library and is focusing on the 70s and 80s with a slighter emphasis on rock crossover. Additionally all references to the Bobby & Stacey Morning Show were wiped from the station’s website. However while co-host Stacey DuFord has exited, Bobby Mitchell is still with the station and stating he will return to the morning slot on Monday, January 8. DuFord had been with WOMC since 2011.
A similar musical tweak was also made at sister 98.1 WOGL Philadelphia, which has handed off the 90s music to sister AC “Today’s 96.5” WTDY-FM. Is that a prelude to a similar dynamic being setup in Detroit with CHR “98.7 Amp Radio” WDZH making the move to AC that WTDY-FM made one year ago today.
