Just eight months after both returning to Entercom Rhythmic CHR “KS 107.5” KQKS Lakewood/Denver CO as part of the station’s revamped morning show, Mario ‘DJ Chonz’ Rodriguez and Mercedes ‘Ya Girl Cedes’ Howard have exited the station.
DJ Chonz worked at KQKS from 2001 through 2016 and Cedes from 2011-2016 before rejoining to team with Tony V in mornings. Tony V remains in place.
Urban One Sports “ESPN Richmond” 950 WXGI/99.5 W258DC Richmond and 1240 WTPS/102.7 W274BX Petersburg VA will debut “The Black and Drew Sports Huddle” in mornings from 8-10am starting Monday, February 5.
University of Richmond play-by-play voice Bob Black moves from 3-4pm at the station and will be joined by Program Director Andrew Wallace with Mitchell Bradley doing local sports updates. ‘Big Al’ Coleman replaces Black in the 3-4pm slot.
Main Street Broadcasting Co. Oldies 92.1 WLNG Sag Harbor NY has announced the addition of ‘Big Tom’ Lawler for overnights. Lawler fills the opening created by the passing of Al Case. He will continue to be heard in afternoons at Dick Broadcasting Country 95.1 WRNS Kinston NC as ‘Cadillac Jack’ and Oldies 107.9 WOLD-LP Woodbridge NJ as well as middays at “Rock 105.5” WXQR Jacksonville NC as ‘Tubby’.
