Jim Roberts is exiting his position as General Manager of Mid-West Family Broadcasting’s South Bend IN cluster after 22 years with the company and 7 as GM. Roberts will be joining Futuri Media as a National Account Manager.
Mid-West Family Broadcasting South Bend General Manager Jim Roberts has accepted the position of National Account Manager at Futuri Media. Jim has been with the South Bend stations, including WNSN-FM, WZOC-FM, WQLQ-FM and WSBT-AM and FM translator on 96.1, since 1996. Jim has held positions in programming and sales during that time and has been General Manager since 2011.
“I think Futuri is the most exciting company in the digital audio space. Daniel Anstandig and Sophie Fry are very impressive leaders with an infectious energy and passion.”. Jim also added, “our South Bend stations have been clients of Futuri’s for years, so I’ve seen firsthand how superior their products are service truly are.”
Under Jim’s leadership the stations in South Bend have been nominated for 3 Marconi awards and 2 Crystal Radio awards. Jim is a 2016 graduate of the NAB’s Broadcast Leadership Training program. He is the past president of the Mishawaka Business Association, serves on the board of the Studebaker National Museum, was named as one of the “Top 50 GM’s in the country” by Radio Ink in 2013, and serves on the board of the Indiana Broadcaster’s Association.

Dave Fields is exiting his position as Brand Manager/Morning Host at Townsquare Media Country 99.5 WKDQ Henderson KY/Evansville IN to join sister AC “Mix 96” 96.1 WMSX Buffalo NY for mornings. Townsquare is seeking replacements for Fields in Evansville here.
