Station Sales Week Of 2/23: Bristol Broadcasting Moves Into Huntington

Gospel 107.9 WEMM-FM Huntington WVBristol Broadcasting is expanding into a fourth market with the purchase a pair of stations in Huntington WV from Mortenson Broadcasting. Bristol will acquire Southern Gospel 1200 WYSN and 107.9 WEMM-FM Huntington and the CP for 95.3 W237ER Huntington (which will rebroadcast WYSN) for $2.5 million. Bristol owns clusters in adjacent Charleston WV as well as Paducah KY and Bristol/Johnson City/Kingsport TN/VA.

Leon Hunt sells Country 1460 KTKC and 92.9 KTKC-FM Springhill LA to Houston Christian Broadcasters for $200,000.

After first intending to turn in the license of 91.3 WSGR-FM Port Huron MI, St. Clair County Community College has finalized its deal to donate the license to St. Clair County Regional Educational Service Agency.

La Calle 97.9 New OrleansLatinos Broadcasting sells Spanish CHR “La Calle 97.9” K250BA New Orleans LA to Elmer Eduardo Orozco’s ACE Broadcasting for $500,000. K250BA was purchased by the seller in June 2017 for $220,000 and will continue to rebroadcast iHeartMedia’s 104.1 KVDU-HD3 Houma.

Peter & John Radio Fellowship acquires 100.1 W261AE Camden/Dover DE from Faith Community Church for $31,800. While the translator currently rebroadcasts the buyer’s “95.1 Shine-FM” WRBS-FM Baltimore MD, the deal changes the originating station to The Bridge of Hope’s “88.7 The Bridge” WKNZ Harrington DE.

Radio Rodriguez LLC will convert its lease of Regional Mexican “La Fabulosa 95.5” W238BY Crisfield MD from Bay Broadcasting into a purchase for $52,500. W238BY will continue to rebroadcast the seller’s 97.9 WBEY-HD2 Crisfield.
