With Entercom beginning its LMA today of Conservative Talk “FM NewsTalk 97.1” KFTK-FM and Hot AC “Now 96.3” KNOU St. Louis as part of its acquisition of half of Emmis’ St. Louis cluster, the company acted quickly to resolve overlap with one of its existing stations.
With “Y98” 98.1 KYKY entrenched as the top Hot AC market, KNOU has returned to CHR and its former “All The Hits” positioning. Now 96.3 has also begun directly attacking iHeartMedia CHR “Z107.7” KSLZ as stating they have the most music in the morning as it adds 96 minute commercial-free blocks at 8am, 12pm, and 4pm.
Morning host Tim Convy’s presence has been wiped from the KNOU website, but no confirmation yet that he has exited.
