Dick Broadcasting Company is proud to announce that Savannah’s very own “Tim Leary and The Morning Showgram” will be taking their show on the road and heading to Seattle, Washington.
“It is a very special time for Tim, Claire and Karen. They have done such an amazing job in the Savannah and Hilton Head markets that they have created the next opportunity for themselves in one of the top markets in the country. What you hear (or see) is truly who they are as people. Their kindness, generosity, and community interests have really made an impact here”, says Market Manager Aaron Wilborn. “We will be sad to see them go but this has created an opportunity to find even more talented people in our industry and bring something just as special here to the area.”
With that opportunity, Dick Broadcasting Company and Bob 106.9 (WUBB-FM) is proud to announce “Hunter and Leslie in the Morning”. Hunter is coming from Columbia, SC where he was the PD and afternoon host on Fox 102.3. Leslie joins the team from Sarasota, FL where she has lived for the past year after spending over 10 years as the morning show host on Lazer 99.3 in Springfield, MA. Hunter and Leslie come to DBC with over 40 years of experience doing mornings in multiple format types.
“After a Nationwide search, Aaron and Gabe did a remarkable job connecting these two as they had instant chemistry and engaging content together,” says VP of Programming Jason Goodman.
“I’m so excited to make Bob 106.9 and Savannah my new home and I’m honored to work with a solid crew of people”, said Leslie.
“We’ve got big shoes to fill, but we’re up for the challenge”, said Hunter who will also serve as the station’s Program Director. “It’s a great station, in a great market and I can’t wait to get started.”
“It’s never easy to replace a show like the Morning Showgram.” They meant so much to the station and the community. So I think we all feel very lucky to have found Hunter and Leslie”, remarked Operations Manager Gabe Reynolds. “I truly believe we’ve got something special.”
The Morning Showgram’s last day will Friday April 27th followed by a going away party that evening that is open to the public. Hunter and Leslie in the Morning will make their debut on Monday April 30th at 6am.
