Vox AM/FM purchases Classic Hits 92.1 WVTK Port Henry NY/Middlebury VT from Burton Barlow’s WVTK Radio Inc. for $660,000. Barlow owns a 35% stake in the buyer along with Bruce Danziger’s 53% and Keith Thomas’ 12% share. Vox, which owns four other stations in the Burlington/Plattsburgh market, began operating WVTK via LMA on January 1, 2018.
Roger Wright’s Radio 7 Media sells AC “X106” 106.7 WTNX Lawrenceburg TN to Educational Media Foundation for $75,000.
Real Presence Radio is acquiring Agnus Dei Communications’ “Lamb Radio” 88.9 KSJP Ipswich, 91.3 KSTJ Hartford/Sioux Falls, and 94.5 K233BR Brookings SD for $1 to combine the two Catholic networks in the Dakotas.
Brute Force Radio sells News/Talk 1240 KBEL and Country 96.7 KBEL-FM Idabel OK to David Smulyan’s KBEL Radio for $230,000 and an LMA that began on May 1.
Marvin Vosper acquires Silent 105.9 KCNL Quartzsite AZ from FMI Media for $70,000.
Red Mountain Broadcasting purchases 92.9 W225AH Huntsville AL from Focus Radio Communications for $125,000. The buyer will rebroadcast iHeartMedia’s 102.1 WDRM-HD3 Decatur on the translator.
Edgewater Broadcasting sells 100.1 K261DO Bend OR to Combined Communications for $26,700. K261DO will continue to rebroadcast the buyer’s News/Talk 1110 KBND Bend.
