Along with the departure of afternoon host Felisha Monet from Cox Media Group Urban “99 Jamz” WEDR Miami, Rick Party has exited the same daypart at sister Urban AC “Hot 105” WHQT.
Party joined WHQT for afternoons in 2013 and was later joined by Benji Brown. When the station picked up the relaunched Michael Baisden in February 2017 the duo moved to 12-3pm and then returned to afternoons at the start of 2018. Brown will remain in afternoon solo as Party states he was unable to come to terms on a new contract. Party previously worked at WHQT in the early 1990s and at WGCI and WKSC Chicago, WBLS New York and WEDR Miami in his career.
