The new format is positioning as “Easy Favorites” and creates a flanker for Hot AC “Coast 93.1” WMGX and Classic Hits “Rewind 100.9” WYNZ against Townsquare Media AC 94.9 WHOM.
WBAE and 107.1 W296CZ Portland had been running a Talk format while WVAE (which recently changed call letters from WGIN) had been simulcasting News/Talk 560 WGAN and has now launched its 93.5 W228BE translator serving the southern portions of Portland and the Old Orchard Beach/Saco area.
