As part of a Chapter 727 of Florida Bankruptcy Laws (equivalent to federal Chapter 7), Choice Radio Keys Corporation is transferring Classic Hits trimulcast “Mix 93.7” WKEY-FM Key West, 94.3 WGMX Marathon, 96.9 WKEZ-FM Tavernier/Key Largo, and Silent 1300 WFFG Marathon to trustee Philip Von Kahle for divestment.
Charlie Banta and Sandra Miller’s Universal Stations sells suburban Boston Spanish Christian 1230 WESX Nahant and Portuguese Christian 1300 WJDA Quincy MA to Luis Morales’ Real Media Group for $875,000 ($425K for WESX, $450K for WJDA).
GMF-Christian Media purchases 830 WUMY/105.5 W288BJ Memphis TN from Memphis First Ventures for $706,823. The stations currently simulcast the seller’s Classic Hits “Guess-FM” 1180 WGUE Turrell AR/99.3 W257CY Memphis/100.1 K268DA Memphis.
Colonial Radio Group sells Standards 1400 WWGE Loretto and its CP for 106.9 W295DD Nanty Glo PA to Matt Lightner for $50,000.
Akal Broadcasting is divesting its South Asian “Radio Punjab” stations in three separate deals. XL Media will acquire 1250 KKDZ Seattle, 1560 KZIZ Pacific/Tacoma and 100.5 K263BJ Richland WA for $850,000. Other principals of Akal will acquire 620 KIGS Hanford/Fresno as Akal Media for $900,000, while a restructuring of the original ownership group will gain 1310 KMKY Oakland/San Francisco and 92.9 K225CK Union City for no consideration.
Mike Knar’s SKMG Communications will acquire 1040 KCBR Monument/95.7 K239CH Colorado Springs CO from United States CP for $350,000. Knar has been operating both along with 98.5 K253AH Colorado Springs as Classic Hip-Hop “Blazin 98.5“. Up to an additional $300,000 will change hands if up to two unspecified station facility upgrades are completed.
Douglas Bennett sells the CP for 97.9 KDVQ Batesville TX to Carlos Lopez for $10,000.
Torres Media Group sells the CP for 102.7 Sanderson TX to Jennifer Juarez for $10,000.
