iHeartMedia is shuffling programming in Asheville NC.
Liberal Talk “880 The Revolution” WPEK Fairview/Asheville has moved to 101.1 W266CP Candler/WKSF-HD3 Old Fort. The move places the Liberal Talk format on a new 250w vertical/351m FM signal.
Replacing The Revolution on 880 WPEK will be Sports “ESPN Asheville“. The new format will also be heard on 1400 WMXF Waynesville (replacing a simulcast of News/Talk 570 WWNC) and 92.9 W225CJ Asheville. The station’s schedule will feature the national ESPN Radio lineup as well as the regionally syndicated David Glenn Show from 12-3pm and Paul Finebaum from 5-7pm. WPEK/WMXF will also carry University of North Carolina sports.
ESPN Radio programming was previously heard on Saga Communications’ 1310 WISE Asheville/970 WYSE Canton until it moved to Fox Sports Radio on May 1.
iHeartMedia Asheville announced today the debut of the new ESPN Asheville 92.9 FM/880 AM/1400 AM, First for Sports in Western North Carolina, effective immediately.
ESPN Asheville 92.9 FM/880 AM/1400 AM will broadcast the ESPN Radio lineup featuring Golic and Wingo in the mornings. In addition, the regionally syndicated, David Glenn Show will air from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and The Paul Finebaum Show is in the 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. time slot. ESPN Asheville is also the new home for University of North Carolina Football and Basketball.
