iHeartMedia Promotes Four To Division Presidents

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
July 16, 2018

iHeartMedia iHeart iHeartCommunicationsiHeartMedia has announced that current Region Presidents Linda Byrd, Scott Hopeck, Brian Olson and Jeff Tyler will be promoted to Division President joining Kevin LeGrett and Tom McConnell.

The four will continue to handle their region specific duties Byrd (Central/North Florida), Hopeck (New York), Olson (South Florida), and Tyler (Minnesota/Wisconsin) respectively along with their new duties that will include helping the company’s data based sales analytics in all local markets.

iHeartMedia, the leading audio company in America which also has a greater reach in the U.S. than any other media outlet, announced today that four of its Region Presidents have been elevated to Division Presidents of the iHeartMedia Markets Group, effective immediately. Linda Byrd, Scott Hopeck, Brian Olson and Jeff Tyler will expand their current Region President roles to include Division President responsibilities — joining current Division Presidents Kevin LeGrett and Tom McConnell — and will report to Greg Ashlock, President of the iHeartMedia Markets Group.

As the leader in audio – from iHeartMedia’s record-setting broadcast radio reach to its unparalleled slate of year-round major live music events; its position as the leading audio service on Snapchat, YouTube and voice activated virtual personal assistants and smart speakers; and its leadership as the number one commercial radio podcaster in the U.S — these promotions help the company reach the next step in its continued data- driven, digital evolution by providing more focused leadership in all local markets, benefiting both the listeners and business partners.

“With the substantial lead we have as the number one audio company in America, we have built a one-of-kind multiplatform company that offers our advertising partners benefits, driven by our unique first party and attribution data, that until now they have only found in digital,” said Ashlock. “As we continue to transition these capabilities from our national platforms to the market level, this new leadership structure will allow us to accelerate how we import and export innovation.”

“These solutions are in response to the needs articulated by our advertising partners,” he continued. “We now have solutions for the largest all the way to the smallest of our partners which will enable us to continue to both expand our platforms and build products that only a company of our scale can accomplish.”

iHeartMedia also announced that in addition to his Division President responsibilities, LeGrett has been named Executive Vice President of Operations for the Markets Group, reporting to Ashlock.
