Old School 105.3 Charlotte Moves To Urban AC

Old School 105.3 WOSF CharlotteUrban One has shifted Urban Oldies “Old School 105.3” WOSF Gaffney SC/Charlotte NC to Urban AC “105.3 Old School & R&B“.

The move comes with a playlist change from focusing on R&B from the 1970s through 1990s to 1980s through now. No changes to the station’s airstaff which includes the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Chirl Girl in middays, and Eddie Owens in afternoons.

Radio One, Inc. announced today that WOSF radio, formerly known as Old School 105.3, Charlotte’s Old School Station is now “105.3, Old School and R&B”. After an extensive research project with adult urban listeners in the Charlotte metro area, Radio One, Inc. recognized the strong demand for contemporary R&B music mixed with old school. Already the kind of station that people turn up at a party, they will now be able to listen to more of their favorite music.

105.3, Old School and R&B listeners will enjoy hits from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s with artists like Prince, Mary J. Blige, Notorious B.I.G., Jodeci, Lauryn Hill, Usher, Fantasia, and Maxwell; plus music from current R&B chart toppers like Bruno Mars, Toni Braxton, Childish Gambino, Tamia, and Ella Mai.
