As Mighty Media Group completes the sell-off of its Memphis TN properties, one of its formats will remain available on a new frequency.
Classic Hits “Guess-FM“, which had been airing on 830 WUMY Memphis, 1180 WGUE Turrell AR, 99.3 W257CY Memphis, 100.1 W261CS Southaven MS, and 105.5 W288BJ Memphis TN moved last week to Flinn Broadcasting’s 1430 WOWW Germantown/97.7 W249BN Memphis. WOWW/W249BN had been simulcasting Mighty Media Group’s “95.3 The Rebel” WEBL Coldwater MS.
Over the past few months, Ronald Unkefer’s Memphis First Ventures which owns Mighty Media Group sold 830 WUMY/105.5 W288BJ Memphis to GMF-Christian Media for $706,823, 1180 WGUE Turrell/99.3 W257CY Memphis and the CP for 101.5 K268DA Memphis to Butron Media Corporation for $799,000, and WEBL and the lease of 100.1 W261CE Southaven to Thomas Freeman’s North Mississippi Radio Group for $900,000.
Upon closing of the deals, WUMY/W288BJ will flip to Christian programming and WGUE/W257CY/K268DA to Regional Mexican “La Jefa 99.3“.
