Daniel and Alana Hatfield’s Twin Ports Radio is restructuring as the couple sells a 60% stake in the company to John David Linder and Dwayne Megaw for $14. Upon completion of the deal Daniel Hatfield’s stake in the company will drop from 50 to 40 percent, Linder will own 40%, and Megaw the other 20%. Alana Hatfield’s 50% stake will be eliminated. Twin Ports Radio owns Sports “92.1 The Fan” WWAX Hermantown and “The Jock” 1490 KJOQ/100.9 K265DO Duluth MN.
Bob & Ashley Stevens’ Broadcast Communications purchased the license assets of 1410 KQV Pittsburgh PA in January for $55,000. Now as they prepare to move the station to a new transmitter site, they are transferring the station to their Broadcast Educational Communications Inc. for no charge, which will convert the station to non-commercial status.
Hammond Broadcasting sells 700 KHSE Wylie/Dallas TX and 104.1 K281CS McKinney TX to Texas FM Radio owned by Ravi and Sri Cherukuri’s Workforce Matters Inc. and Tabbassum Mumtaz’s Ampex Brands Texas FM for $2 million. Ravi Cherukuri’s Arohi Media also owns 1490 WDUR Durham NC, which serves as flagship to his South Asian “Jazbaa-FM“, which also airs on HD subchannels in Baltimore, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Raleigh.
New South Radio purchases Country “Power 107” 107.1 WBYP Belzoni MS for $200,000.
In a deal not yet filed with the FCC, the Valley Voice reports that Mayberry Broadcasting Company has sold Conservative Talk 1450 KTIP/101.3 K267CG Porterville CA to Jose Arredondo’s JA Ventures for $300,000. Arredondo owns Regional Mexican 1370 KGEN Tulare CA.
