David Smith and his Darby Advertising sell a pair of stations in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Tim and Lindsay Ellis’ TSE Broadcasting acquires Classic Hits “Eagle 95.1” WUPN Paradise/Sault Ste. Marie for $296,000. Tim has hosted mornings at the station since 2015 after spending over two decades at CHR “99.5 Yes-FM” WYSS in the market. Lindsay Ellis previously hosted nights and worked in sales at WUPN.
Travis Sumbera’s Two Hearted Media gets Smith’s Classic Hits “Eagle 96.7” WMJT McMillan/Newberry MI for $100,000. LMAs of both stations started on September 1.
New World Radio’s Brokered Ethnic 1120 WUST Washington DC and Potomac Radio LLC’s Brokered Chinese 1190 WCRW Leesburg VA are sold to Potomac Radio Group $750,000 each. The new group will see Danny Ray Masden hold a 40% share and Marquee Broadcasting’s Brian and Patricia Lane hold 30% each.
The estate of Herschel Lake is transferring Radio Acquisition Corp’s Classic Hits 1150 WCRK/105.7 W289BQ and Classic Country 1300 WMTN/93.3 W227DH and to Lakeway Publishers for $450,000. The buyer owns multiple newspapers across four states.
Educational Media Foundation sells 88.3 WUKV Portsmouth OH to Catholic operator St. Gabriel Radio for $175,000. WUKV will simulcast they buyer’s 820 WVSG Columbus.

Empire Broadcasting sells Silent 106.1 W291BY Albany NY to WMHT Educational Telecommunications for $275,000. The translator will rebroadcast the buyer’s AAA “Exit 97.7” WEXT Amsterdam via 89.1 WMHT-HD2 Schenectady.
Gerald Proctor sells 95.3 K237HB Huntsville TX to Carlos Lopez for $40,000. K237HB will rebroadcast Leon Hunt’s AC 92.7 KIVY-FM Crockett.
