After nearly 30 years with Entercom Classic Hits 98.1 WOGL Philadelphia, Harvey Holiday will retire from the station on December 12.
Holiday has been with WOGL since July 1989, not long after its 1987 flip to Oldies. He has spent the majority of his career, which dates back to the mid 60’s, in Philadelphia where he has also worked at 560 WFIL, 1340 WHAT, 1480/105.3 WDAS, and 102.1 WIOQ with duties ranging from Program Director at WDAS to morning host at WIOQ. Holiday was best known for the Doo Wop “Street Corner Sunday” program that aired on WOGL on Sunday evenings from 1989 until this past January.
WOGL will give Holiday a long farewell as the first twelve days of December will be billed as “The 12 Days of Harvey Holiday” allowing him a chance to say farewell to the audience.
