United Stations Radio Networks has announced it will launch the Sandy Show into daily syndication.
The show will be distributed Monday through Friday for stations in any daypart and will be offered to multiple formats including AC, Hot AC, Classic Hits and Country. The show will be led by former KAMX Austin, WREW Cincinnati, and KRBV Dallas morning host Sandy McIlree and also feature his wife Tricia McIlree and musician and former KAMX co-host Autumn Boukadakis.
United Stations Radio Networks Inc. (USRN), an independent leader in
creating and marketing network radio programming, announced today it will distribute “The Sandy Show” to radio stations coast to coast. The Monday-through-Friday show is unique, personality-driven content that blends well with any broadly-targeted music format. The show’s content will be delivered in a unique, flexible way that enables local affiliates to create their own daily customized shows.“’The Sandy Show’ is unlike any other programming on the network radio landscape,” said United Stations Executive Vice President of Programming, Andy Denemark. “It’s fun without being sophomoric, contemporary without being overly edgy, and it meshes well with a variety of formats, including classic hits, adult contemporary, hot adult contemporary and country. Plus, it offers the perspectives of two insightful female personalities at a time when women want to hear from other women that they find relatable.”
Sandy McIlree, the show’s creator and anchor, has been an on-air radio morning show personality for nearly three decades. He is probably best known as half of “The JB and Sandy Show,” which aired on KAMX (Mix 94.7) Austin for 17 years, consistently dominating ratings in the morning drive time. McIlree was named Austin’s Best Radio Personality by The Austin Chronicle five times and nominated for induction into the Texas Radio Hall of Honor.
Funny, relevant and authentic, “The Sandy Show” is personality radio at its best, featuring three close friends with uniquely divergent strengths, habits, outlooks and dispositions. McIlree is a guy’s guy with a big heart and a bad habit of misplacing things. He is joined on the show by his wife, Tricia, and Autumn Boukadakis. Tricia is pragmatic, strongly opinionated, über-organized, and has an annoying habit of being right. She has been a regular contributor on McIlree’s radio shows for years. Autumn is Tricia’s best friend and the little sister McIlree never had – a free-spirited millennial, single, and a trained pianist and singer-songwriter. For several years, she was a regular sidekick to McIlree on his KAMX Austin show. Autumn’s breezy, ultra-optimistic world view is balanced by Tricia’s more pragmatic take on life.
“Andy, Stefan Jones and the whole team at United Stations have been extremely supportive of our vision for the show,” said McIlree. “We’re excited to bring ‘The Sandy Show’ to radio audiences in their homes and cars, and on their smart speakers.”
The Sandy Show will be delivered via FTP using USRN secured servers, and announcements will be coming soon regarding the initial affiliates for the program.
