Q100 Atlanta Rebrands As Q99.7

Q99.7 99.7 WWWQ Q100 Atlanta Bert ShowEleven years after moving from 100.5 to 99.7, Cumulus Media CHR “Q100” WWWQ Atlanta has rebranded as “Q99.7“.

As we indicated in October 18 Domain Insight, the station had begun emphasizing the frequency on air and tagging many of their social media posts with “Tune In To 99.7 (Q100)” to increase awareness of the frequency. No on-air lineup changes accompanied the name tweak.

INSTANT INSIGHT: In the streaming era, stations need to emphasize where they can be found and utilize that branding everywhere. “Q99.7 Atlanta” says it all whether you are looking to listen on FM, a station phone app, website, or smart speaker.

Certain people identity a station with a certain logo (I.e. KSHE- FM St. Louis) . Personally I found the Q100 logo rather iconic, considering it was used at both 100.5 and 99.7.

When I informed them that WWWQ had moved to 99.7, they accused me of lying and said that 99.7 was a rock station.
