Duhamel Broadcasting is selling its five stations and four translators in Rapid City SD to Riverfront Broadcasting for $3.6 million. Riverfront began operating the stations via a Programming Agreement on January 1. The licenses included in the sale are Classic Hits “Q92.3” KQRQ Rapid City, Country “Eagle Country 95.9/96.3” KZZI Belle Fourche/K242BK Rapid City, Rock “X-Rock 101.1/103.5” KDDX Spearfish/K278AN Rapid City, Hot AC “Star 106.3” KZLK Rapid City, and News/Talk 1380 KOTA/K264CP Rapid City.
Odes and Ann Kim’s KTN Broadcasting purchases Gospel “Heaven 97” 970 KHVN/95.3 K237HD and Christian Preaching 1630 KKGM from Mortenson Broadcasting for $1.5 million.
KMB Broadcasting sells Country “KX Country” 104.7 WYKX, Standards/Talk 680 WDBC and the CP for 94.5 W233CT Escanaba MI to Todd Mohr’s Aurora Broadcasting for $400,000. A Time Brokerage Agreement took effect on January 1.
Shanks Broadcasting will purchase Sports “ESPN Middle Georgia” 1150 WXKO Fort Valley, 93.1 W226BZ Macon, 104.7 W284DE Fort Valley, and 105.9 W290BD Montezuma GA from John Timms’ WXKO LLC for $250,000. Shanks will also acquire WXKO simulcasters 93.1 WWKM Rochelle, 98.3 WCEH-FM Pinehurst, 610 WCEH/96.1 W241CO Hawkinsville and Rock “96Q” 1440 WDXQ/96.7 W244CL Cochran from Timms’ Central Georgia Radio for an additional $250,000. Company head Bill Shanks hosts afternoons from 3-7pm on ESPN Middle Georgia.

Edward Andrew Knight and James Bradley Knight will acquire the 70% stake of Morgan County Broadcasting’s Southern Gospel 940 WECO and Country 101.3 WECO-FM Wartburg TN currently held by Gary and Clyde Darnell for $600,000. Ed Knight will retain his 30% stake.
