Smoke Gives Way To Fox Sports In Charlotte

94.7 Smoke Fox Sports Charlotte 1660 WBCNBeasley Media has dropped its Southern Rock “94.7 Smoke” format on 1660 WBCN/94.7 W234BY Charlotte NC in favor of Sports “Fox Sports Charlotte“.

The station will run the national Fox Sports Radio lineup on weekdays with a few specialty shows on weekends. Fox Sports Radio was last heard in the Charlotte market on iHeartMedia’s 98.7 W254AZ Belmont/99.7 WRFX-HD2 from August 2014 until August 2016.

WBCN registered a 0.1 share in the Holiday 2018 Nielsen Audio ratings.

Beasley Media Group, LLC; a subsidiary of Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBGI) announces FOX Sports Radio will debut on WBCN 94.7 FM, 1660AM, and WSOC HD-3. The official launch will take place on Monday, February 4, 2019.

FOX Sports Charlotte 1660 AM and 94.7 FM will provide listeners with relevant, credible and local coverage of sports news and games.

The new line-up will feature:

9am – 12pm ET The Dan Patrick Show
12pm – 3pm ET The Herd with Colin Cowherd
3pm – 6pm ET The Doug Gottlieb Show

10pm -2 am ET The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon
2am – 6am ET The Ben Maller Show

Saturday 6am-8am & Sunday 8am-10am ET/ Checkpoint XP

In addition, Checkpoint XP, the first syndicated radio show dedicated specifically to Esports and gaming, will be heard Saturdays from 6am-8am and Sundays from 8am-10am on the station.
