Gene ‘Bean’ Baxter has announced on-air that he will exit the Kevin & Bean Show on Entercom Alternative 106.7 KROQ Pasadena/Los Angeles at the end of 2019 as the show completes three decades in mornings at KROQ.
Baxter stated on-air that he intended to relocate to England following his departure from KROQ, where he has hosted his portion of the show remotely (first from Washington State and later New Orleans) since 1999.
Baxter (as Music Director) and Kevin Ryder (as evening host) were co-workers at KZZP Phoenix in 1987 who began co-hosting a Saturday night show together. That would lead to the pair being brought to KROQ where they debuted on December 31, 1989. The show was inducted into the NAB Hall of Fame in 2015 and has served as a major stepping stone in the careers of co-hosts such as Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla, Ralph Garman and Mike Catherwood.
Just announced on the @KevinAndBean Show, after 30 years I am leaving the show at the end of the year to move back home to England, the ninth largest island in the world. Much more to come on this. 🇬🇧 pic.twitter.com/XjPfasWwJw

Just gotta say, Bean's been thinking about this for a LONG time. And this will make him happy.
