Entravision quietly flipped 98.9 KCVR-FM Columbia CA to Country “98.9 The Wolf” earlier this month.
KCVR-FM, which rimshots the Stockton and Modesto markets, had been airing the Spanish AC “La Suavecita” brand that continues to operate on 97.1 KTSE-FM Patterson/Modesto. The station is sharing resources with sister “101.9 The Wolf” KNTY Shingle Springs/Sacramento.
The new format creates a competitor to Cumulus Media “Kat Country 103” 103.3 KATM Modesto, which placed at the top of the Modesto market and third in Stockton in the Fall 2018 Nielsen Audio ratings, and iHeartMedia’s “92.9 The Big Dog” KOSO Patterson who had a 2.4 share in Modesto.
