Immaculate Heart Media has found a Washington DC signal for its national Catholic “Relevant Radio” programming as it acquires 1260 WSPZ Washington DC from Salem Media for $750,000.
WSPZ, which assumed the call letters previously on 570 when its Conservative Talk “Answer” programming and WWRC call letters moved in November 2017, has been simulcasting Christian Preaching 105.1 WAVA-FM Arlington VA since then. WSPZ will become the second Catholic oriented station in the Washington market as La Promesa Foundation’s “Guadalupe Radio Network” airs on Huffines Media’s 1160 WMET Gaithersburg MD.
Following the sale of WSPZ, Salem Media will retain Conservative Talk “AM 570 The Answer” WWRC Bethesda MD, Christian Preaching 780 WAVA Arlington VA, and Christian Preaching 105.1 WAVA-FM Arlington in the Washington DC market.
