Q Broadcasting has flipped Spanish News/Talk “La Grande 1030” WONQ Oveido/99.5 W258DD Orlando FL to Salsa “Viva FM“.
The new format launched on April 29 with owner George Mier serving as Program Director.
Q Broadcasting in Florida has launched VIVA FM, a 100% Salsa format for the Orlando market. It will be carried on a simulcast/combo of WONQ 99.5 FM and 1030 AM, with coverage of Orange, Osceola, Brevard, Polk, and parts of Volusia, as well as digital platforms.
COO/VP of Q Broadcasting George Mier says: “This format has been heavily researched and a winner in selected markets over the years. A few stations have dabbled with it, but besides playing some Hits, I believe many have not achieved the format’s fullest potential, principally for failing to fully commit and understand the audience and essence of the format, beyond the music.
