Former “Energy 94.1” KTFM Floresville/San Antonio APD/afternoon host Tony Cortez has joined Cox Media Group Hot AC “Magic 105.3” KSMG Seguin/San Antonio as night host.
Cortez, who has spent 18 of his 25 year career in San Antonio, will anchor evenings from 7pm-12am. He had been with KTFM from 2011 until his exit last summer. He has also worked at CHR “Mix 96.1” KXXM and Tejano 107.5 KXTN in San Antonio and “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI Austin during his career.
Magic 105.3 (KSMG), a Cox Media Group (CMG) station, adds Tony Cortez to its on-air talent roster, effectively immediately. With more than 25 years of experience, Cortez will bring today’s best music to the people of San Antonio weekdays from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Cortez calls San Antonio home and has spent more than 18 years of his acclaimed career in the Alamo City. Named best local radio personality by the San Antonio Current for multiple years, Cortez joins KSMG by way of KTFM. He started his radio career with KHFI in Austin, TX, and has worked with several other Texas-based stations over the years, including KXXM and KXTN in San Antonio.
