Pacific Media Group acquires Ohana Broadcast Group’s four stations in Honolulu for $5.5 million.
The stations involved in the deal are Hawaiian “93.1 Da Paina” KQMQ-FM Honolulu, Rhythmic AC 94.7 KUMU-FM Honolulu, Rhythmic CHR “102.7 Da Bomb” KDDB Waipahu, and Alternative “Alt 105.9” KPOI Honolulu.
Pacific purchased Ohana’s four stations on the island of Kaua’i in October 2018 for $1.3 million and also owns stations on Maui and the Big Island.
Norsan Media acquires Regional Mexican “Activa 99.1” 1030 WNOW Mint Hill/99.1 W256BP Charlotte NC from TBLC Media for $500,000. WNOW joins a Norsan Charlotte cluster that includes Spanish AC “Latina 102.3” WGSP-FM Pageland SC, Regional Mexican “La Raza 106.1” WOLS Waxhaw NC, and Regional Mexican “La Z” 1310 WGSP/107.5 W298CF Charlotte and 1060 WXNC/97.3 W247CV Monroe NC. Norsan will begin operating WNOW via LMA on July 1.
Premier Radio Stations LLC sells Conservative Talk 1100 KFNX Cave Creek/Phoenix AZ to Bill Brady’s Futures and Options Inc. for $800,000. Brady is a former newscaster at multiple stations in Upstate New York who then moved into management as GM of WRKL New City NY and GSM of Clear Channel West Palm Beach and has some thoughts on how to revitalize AM.
Shire & Shore Communications sold former AAA “Radio North of Ordinary” 95.3 WVVE Grand Marais MN to Zoe Communications for $30,000. Zoe has begun operating the station, which had been Silent since April, via LMA and has flipped it to a simulcast of Classic Rock “95 GMO” 95.3 WGMO Shell Lake WI.
Cedar Cove Broadcasting acquires Christian 88.3 KKRR Casper WY from Robert Rule’s WCN Inc. for $50,000.
Len Radio of Broadcasting sells Christian 1550 WKTF Vienna GA to Hammett Financial Management Corporation for $50,000. Hammett began operating WKTF via Time Brokerage Agreement on June 1.
After selling 92.1 KETX-FM Livingston TX to KSBJ Educational Foundation earlier this month, Telcom Supply Inc. sells Sports 1440 KETX Livingston to their Operations Manager Ken Luck for $25,000. Luck, who has managed KETX since 2002, assumed the former Classic Rock format heard on 92.3.
