Following the announcement of Axel Lowe’s return to Atlanta to program “Rock 100.5” WNNX College Park, the station has cut ties with APD/afternoon host Jesse Kage.
Kage joined WNNX in August 2017 after spending the bulk of his career in the Tampa market. Kage previously has spent time in nights at Alternative “97X” WSUN-FM, afternoons at Active Rock “98 Rock” 97.9 WXTB, mornings at Sports “98.7 The Fan” WHFS-FM, and afternoons at Rock “98.7 No Rules Rock” WBRN-FM.
A few more on-air talent have been let go from Entercom clusters across the country in recent weeks.
Just three months after being moved from overnights at AC “B101.1” WBEB to nights at Classic Hits 98.1 WOGL, Angel Donato is gone from their Philadelphia cluster.
Emily Wild has exited as Music Director/morning host at “107.7 Alternative Buffalo” WLKK Wethersfield Township/104.7 W284AP Buffalo NY. Wild joined WLKK in 2016 after four years at sister CHR “98 PXY” 97.9 WPXY Rochester where she eventually rose to MD/afternoon host. Midday host Brandi shifts up to the 6-11am slot previously held by Wild.
Pauly Kover departs as evening host at Alternative “X107.5” KXTE Pahrump/Las Vegas after fifteen years at the station. Kover previously served as morning show producer, overnight and midday host during his 15 year term at KXTE. He also is the “commissioner” and host of the Las Vegas based “Future Stars of Wrestling” promotion.
Brian Pierce will retire from mornings at MidWest Family Broadcasting Country “US 92.7” WUSW Taylorville/Springfield IL and his late morning talk show on 970 WMAY Springfield on Friday, July 26. Pierce and wife Kellie Michaels joined WUSW in 2015 after a run at KFDI Wichita before which they spent fifteen years in mornings at MWFB AC 98.7 WNNS Springfield. Michaels then retired as co-host and Program Director in 2017.
